Farmers Markets are a great way to shop seasonally and support local farmers and small businesses. You can find almost anything; from basic produce, meat, eggs, and dairy to artisan goods such as honey, tea blends, baked goods, and even candles and soap! Vendors vary across sites and from week to week, but many farmers markets post their weekly vendors on their websites or social media. Below is a list of the major markets in the area, their locations, hours, and websites. Check out the map at the bottom of the post to see which one is close to you!
Nashville Farmers Market
Located next to The Bicentennial Capitol Mall

The Nashville Farmers Market is unique in that it has an indoor building, called the Market House, as well as an outdoor space, called the Outdoor Farm Sheds.
The Market House is open daily from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm and contains restaurants and vendors that represent a wide variety of cultural backgrounds and flavors. Businesses inside have varying hours, so please check their website for the most accurate information.
The Outdoor Farm Sheds house different farmers and artisan craftsmen, and their hours vary by vendor. This is where you'll find everything from fresh vegetables and fruits, meat and seafood, to crafts like spice blends, blankets, and pottery. The sheds are open Monday through Thursday with hours varying by vendor. The best time to go is usually Friday-Sunday, and the winter hours are 10:00 am - 2:00 pm (November through February), and their summer hours are 9:00 am - 2:00 pm (March through October).
Gardens of Babylon, a plant nursery, is located next to the Outdoor Farm Sheds and is worth a visit too!
